When talent and perseverance meet opportunity, what is the result? Not only are SMP my initials, the acronym also stands for so many possibilities, my design philosophy.

Growing up, I never imagined doing anything other than design. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, I quickly realized that I could make my passion a career. After graduating from high school, athletic and academic scholarships led me to the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut to pursue my academic endeavors. Looking for a change of pace after two years on the East Coast, I transferred to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where I finished school and obtained a Bachelors of Art, concentrating in computer graphics.

Utilizing my degree, I started my career at Scott Drake Enterprises. There I was responsible for the design of all marketing materials and product photography. Drawing from this experience, I was later presented with the opportunity to work for the Geary Company as a graphic designer in the fast paced advertising industry.

After two years of service, I decided to pursue freelance graphic and web design ventures and start my own business. My company, SMP Studios, was founded in early 2008 and I am looking forward to all of the new and exciting opprtunities the future will bring.

Some projects cannot be successfully completed by a single designer. For this reason, I have a strong working relationship with the talented folks at Zee Designs. Together, we are a creative virtual team... partners in crime... ok, better yet... partners in design.
