Kate Corby came to us looking to re-brand her regional dance company. Her current logo was outdated and the website was hard to maintain. That's where we came in!
The Brief
The client wished a simple design that had a bold modern visual feel. It had to appeal to both dancers and the theaters that would potential hold their events. Most importantly, after the identity was designed, that look would have to be translated to a re-worked website powered by a CMS that the client could update themselves.
Our Approach
The idea behind the new identity was to keep the logo mark simple, bold, and powerful while letting the gorgeous photography speak for itself. This would let the dancers be the focus of the brand. We worked on the identity package first and then we translated that idea to the new website. Along with an attention-grasping slideshow on the homepage, the rest of the site is full of visually striking images.
The Result
The new brand works great for KC&D. Kate Corby & Dancers website is updated as needed with new projects and performance events. Website visitors can view a library of their current and past projects and even learn about the company's teaching and community outreach opportunities. It was a pleasure to work with Kate on this project.
